Getting Around Aside from walking, public transport is the easiest way to get around London. The subway system (also known as the Tube) and buses are the most popular options. Just be warned, buses aren’t the best option if you’re in a hurry. Best Time To Visit London’s peak season is during the summer months between June and August. During this time expect plenty of festivals and crowds. Low season and Winter in London is often cold and wet, with shorter days.
