Getting around Paris

Paris is among the world’s most walkable cities. Once you have checked into a Boutique Hotel in Paris and rested for a while, explore the city’s sights and sounds by foot for experiences and discoveries that a bus or taxi might not afford. The Metro offers the quickest commute and the variously coloured Metro lines make it quite easy to read the Paris Metro map. Many visitors hop on the bus to avoid the noise and crowd of the Metro, and you can either check timetable/schedules at the bus station, or download a PDF of bus routes online in advance. Although taxi stands are scattered all over the city, there is no guarantee of hailing a cab within seconds and advance booking is recommended. There’s Uber too, but compare Uber-local taxi rates to avoid paying an unreasonable amount. Unmissable attractions
  • The Louvre (many of the best Paris Boutique Hotels are located in proximity to the museum)
  • Sainte-Chapelle in Palais de la Cité
  • Marché aux Puces de Saint-Ouen
  • Buttes Chaumont park
  • Lunch at a Michelin starred restaurant
  • Eiffel Tower
  • Musée d'Orsay
  • The stores on Boulevard Haussmann
  • Catacombs
  • Steak frites, chocolat chaud, caramels, baguette, cheese, wine, macarons, falafel, duck and Basquiat pizza
